I'm writing you today about a man named Gabriel Johnson, who is unjustly being held by ICE. Johnson has experienced a stroke after having been reeatedly denied food and water, prescribed medication, and was mocked and ignored when he pleaded for medical help while on the phone with his family. When they last visited him, they said he was physically smaller and had clear paralysis on his left side. Gabriel Johnson has had legal status as a US citizen since he was 15 years old. No one should suffer this kind of abuse at the hands of a powerful state body. Gabriel Johnson needs adequate medical care, time at home to recover, and immediate release from custody.
