Show Up: Demand Real Constituent Engagement, Not Form Letters

To: Rep. Kustoff, Sen. Blackburn, Sen. Hagerty

From: A constituent in Brownsville, TN

August 19

Stop sending form letters. When I contact your office about issues that affect my life, I deserve a real response — not a templated email that makes clear no one actually read what I wrote. Rep. Mike Flood just held a town hall in Bellevue and got an earful from hundreds of constituents about Medicaid cuts, the SAVE America Act, and more. That's democracy working. You should be doing the same. Knock on doors. Hold town halls. Show up in the district and have actual conversations with the people who sent you to Washington. If Flood can stand in front of a hostile crowd in Nebraska and take questions, there's no excuse for you to hide behind a mail merge. Constituents are paying attention, and we remember who engaged with us and who didn't come November.
