Investigate Food Quality on USS Abraham Lincoln

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick, Rep. Mackenzie

From: A verified voter in Bethlehem, PA

April 25

I need you to investigate the food quality aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Tripoli immediately. New photographs from service members show single meat patties and minimal portions, and one sailor has reportedly lost 17 pounds during deployment. This is unacceptable. The Pentagon claims these ships have 30+ days of supplies and that reports are "FAKE NEWS," but the images tell a different story. Gerald D. Givens Jr., a retired Air Force Food Service Specialist, reviewed the photos and called the meals "below standard. Period." When families are sending care packages because their kids aren't getting enough food, something is seriously wrong. Our troops are deployed in a combat zone. They deserve nutritious, adequate meals that maintain their health and readiness. Mail delivery to 27 military ZIP codes has also been suspended, cutting off care packages families sent in December. Food and mail are basic morale issues that directly impact mission effectiveness. Don't take the Pentagon's word for it. Send independent inspectors to these ships and talk to the sailors directly. If there's no problem, prove it. If there is, fix it now.
