Demand Immediate Return of U.S. Citizen Children and Accountability For ICE
To: Sen. King, Sen. Collins, Rep. Pingree
From: A constituent in North Yarmouth, ME
April 27
What will it take to say enough is enough?
On April 25, 2025, ICE agents illegally deported a two-year-old U.S. citizen, V.M.L., along with her mother and sister to Honduras — ignoring a pending court petition and violating due process. That same day, ICE deported two more American children, ages 4 and 7, one of whom is suffering from metastatic cancer, without medical consultation or adequate protection. Earlier, in February 2025, a 10-year-old American girl recovering from brain cancer surgery was deported to Mexico, cutting her off from lifesaving treatment. These are not isolated mistakes; they are clear patterns of unconstitutional abduction of U.S. citizen children by our own government agencies.
I demand the immediate return of these children and their mothers to U.S. soil, a full investigation into these unlawful actions, and swift legal consequences for every ICE official, supervisor, and policymaker involved in orchestrating or permitting these atrocities. This is an absolute travesty and a fundamental breach of constitutional protections. This must not stand unanswered.
With concern and sincerest hope that justice will prevail,
