Gutting USAID is already having a devastating impact around the world. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, teams that would normally be racing to identify a fatal sickness are gone. Once these diseases leave the places of origin, it will be just a matter of time until they reach the United States. Was it really a great idea to take away USAID funding. Was it really a great idea to leave the World Health Organization? Our country is now less safe and it will be a matter of time until our people start to die. Do your job and work with your chamber of Congress to reinstate USAID and to push for us to rejoin the WHO.
