No to Jeffries and Schumer

To: Sen. Gillibrand, Sen. Schumer, Rep. Riley

From: A verified voter in Canaan, NY

November 4

The blue tsunami that gave Democratic control of the Senate, House, and so many governorships and state legislatures did not stem from the efforts of centrist Democrats who were suckling at the teats of AIPAC and corporate donors. This overwhelming victory came from voters who demand Medicare for all, an end to the support of the apartheid Israeli regime, a fair tax system and the abolishment of ICE. We demand an end to unnecessary foreign wars. We demand an end to corporate funding of elections. We demand that the septuagenarian and octogenarian leadership step down and make way for a new generation of politicians. Recognizing that this appeal is directed at the very people who are the obstacle to a new generation of progressive Democrats, I can only hope that you read the writing on the wall and vote for a Speaker and Majority Leader that represent the very people who made this victory possible.
