Mobilize against erasure of women's history from records

To: Sen. Ernst, Rep. Feenstra, Pres. Trump, Sen. Grassley

From: A verified voter in Ames, IA

May 10

The Trump administration's efforts to remove mentions of women's achievements from government websites and historical records represent an Orwellian erasure of women's invaluable contributions throughout history. This insidious attempt to diminish the significant roles women have played across all sectors, including the military, STEM fields, literature, and civil rights movements, undermines efforts to promote gender equity and inspire future generations. By whitewashing history and rewriting the narrative to marginalize women's experiences and successes, the administration seeks to control the historical record in a manner that does not accurately reflect the remarkable legacies of women permanently etched into our collective consciousness. Sustained activism, education, and advocacy are necessary to compel the administration to reverse these actions and restore accurate representations of women's accomplishments in the public record.
