As a member of the Senate Health Committee I’m urging Senator Tuberville to press HHS to restore a LAWFUL, QUALIFIED CDC vaccine committee before flu season. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, (ACIP) decides which shots Medicare, Medicaid, and the Vaccines for Children program cover. It has not been able to legally meet since March, and HHS says it will not meet before fall. Flu shots start in September. Our kids and our rural clinics need clear answers on coverage before then. ❗️ You must get the ACIP working again now! The health of our CHILDREN is at stake❗️
