I am writing to express my strongest and most urgent opposition to the catastrophic bill being pushed through Congress today — one that threatens to gut Medicaid and hand sweeping power to the executive branch in a move that reads more like authoritarianism than legislation.
This is not governance. It is sabotage.
Cutting Medicaid will devastate millions of families, including children, seniors, and people with disabilities. These are not numbers on a spreadsheet — they are human lives, many of whom already live on the edge. This bill turns its back on them.
Even more alarming is the blatant dismantling of democratic safeguards buried in this legislation. Stripping the checks and balances that hold power accountable is not just irresponsible — it is dangerous.
We are watching. We will remember. And we demand better.
Vote NO on this bill. Stand with your constituents, not with a political machine bent on consolidating power and abandoning the most vulnerable among us.
