Stop the DOJ Trump Vendetta Scam I am writing to express opposition to the appointment of Joseph diGenova to oversee probes into former intelligence officials. This development is yet another example of the shift in the Department of Justice’s priorities, where the agency is manipulated into a tool for the President's personal political retribution rather than justice. The Department of Justice is constitutionally mandated to represent The People and uphold the impartial rule of law. It must never be the personal goon squad for any President to use against their perceived enemies. When officials publicly mischaracterize legitimate law enforcement investigations and are given the power to target former officials like the ex-CIA director, the integrity of our legal system is compromised. Using federal resources to carry out retribution scams against political opponents is a hallmark of authoritarianism, not a democracy. I demand that you exercise your oversight authority to put an immediate stop to this weaponization. We need a DOJ that protects the rights of all citizens, rather than one that acts as a hit squad for the executive branch.
