The last time I checked, you were elected to serve all citizens of Missouri. Instead, it seems your loyalty lies only with your party and its leader. The recent video of Donald Trump shitting on anyone who disagrees with him is a perfect reflection of the type of “leadership” you’ve chosen to follow.
You may feel safe in your position, but the reality is that many people in this state are suffering because of your lack of courage and leadership—farmers, hospitals, schools, veterans, the disabled, and the underprivileged, just to name a few.
You and your colleagues often talk out of both sides of your mouths. It may fool some of your voters, but many of us see through it. Deep down, I don’t believe you think this path is right—you’ve just chosen it because it feels safer. Safer to toe the party line than risk being crushed by the “orange clown.”
But here’s the truth: it is far more dangerous to abandon the people who trusted you with their votes. You still have a choice. You can stand with everyday Missourians, break free from blind obedience, and actually lead. That would make you a hero instead of just another zero.
