Trump is copying every single move from Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who has taken over Hungary's democracy and turned it into an authoritarian state. You, as our elected officials, need to do more to stop this shocking descent of our country. I have never felt such shame to be an American. I am completely astounded that he is allowed to get away with boldfaced lies, utterly unprofessional moronic behaviour, nepotism, greed and unabashed corruption. Do we really not have powers in our constitution to stop such behaviours? Was it not illegal when Martha Stewart profited from insider trading, yet trump can play games with the tariffs and he and his family can rake in enormous profits? What about his "bitcoin" and his wife's? I thought it was illegal to profit from the presidency. What about something quite simple such as his profiting hugely from visiting politicians staying at his hotels, not to mention his own self (and paying himself to stay there) Are our laws so weak and ineffectual that there is nothing to stop the never ending corruption and shameless acts? The entire Republican party is so wholly corrupt it is difficult to know where to begin. I dearly hope that there is something big going on behind the scenes to stop this. We have a country now with people incredibly stressed and anxious due to what they hear, see and feel around them. We will have a whole generation growing up amongst these toxic surroundings. It is incredibly worrying.
