Since his first day in office, President Trump has led a sweeping campaign against the very existence of transgender people and our families. Through executive orders and the policies of his administration, President Trump has coerced doctors into dropping their transgender patients, threatened to defund schools unless they discriminate against trans students, and censored doctors, scientists, teachers, workers, and artists who even mention our existence.
It's an unacceptable obsession, with very real consequences for already vulnerable people, which is why I'm urging you to co-sponsor and support passage of the No Place for LGBTQ+ Hate Act (H.R. 3708 / S. 1957). This bill is the strongest way to fight back against President Trump's attacks on the entire LGBTQ community, blocking the executive branch from circumventing Congress to use federal funding to implement hateful anti-LGBTQ orders. We need politicians who fight for us, not against us. Our lawmakers should be helping us put food on the table, make rent, and keep our health care – not spending millions to ignite unfounded fears about trans people. Please co-sponsor and support passage of the No Place for LGBTQ+ Hate Act (H.R. 3708 / S. 1957) immediately.
