The Republican tax and spending plan prioritizes harsh immigration measures and border security over the needs of ordinary Americans. Billions are being allocated for deportations, detention facilities, and a border wall, while crucial domestic programs face deep cuts. This approach will hurt middle-class and low-income families who rely on social safety nets. Rather than targeting vulnerable communities, Congress should focus on policies that uplift all Americans, such as affordable healthcare, quality education, and economic opportunities. Massive spending on deportations and militarization of the border does little to improve people's lives or address the root causes driving migration. I urge you to reconsider this misguided plan and instead invest in programs that truly benefit your constituents and move the nation forward.
