I'm writing as a decade-long resident of Brooklyn, and I'm outraged by Sen. Gillibrand's racist comments on the Brian Lehrer Show this morning saying the Democratic Noninee for Mayor of the City of New York may be supportive of "global jihad" and “violent antifada”. These statements are dangerous and inappropriate for a sitting U.S. Democratic Senator, especially at a time like this when our Muslim and Jewish communities are under threat across New York and globally. Please convey the message to the Senator to retract these disgraceful statements and to endorse the Democratic nominee, as she has previously. Or resign, honestly. I can’t remember a thing she’s done lately.
