A bill was just introduced to allow landlords to evict tenants in only three days. Say no on it! Block that bill! Three days is not enough to find a new place and move out. It will destroy lives and result in homelessness, especially as we head into an economy that is no doubt going to be struggling. I can say from personal experience that some Michigan landlords will threaten or try to evict tenants even if they absolutely do not have the right to do so. If you have unsafe housing and report it, they will try to punish you for it. Part of the reason we need more time is to fight against evictions when the landlords are the ones in the wrong! Do not let the 3 day eviction bill go forward. Thank you.
