It's time to stop ineffective bills like KOSA.
To: Sen. Warnock, Sen. Ossoff
From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA
November 17
The threats posed by KOSA and other bills bundled up along with it outweigh the 'benefits'. Obscenity laws didn't protect the victims of Ghislaine and Epstein. FOSTA and SESTA have failed to prevent trafficking and grooming. Age verification is a gift for hackers, leakers and scammers, along with data thieves. The provision in the PROTECT Act of 2003 targeting fictional material is an obscenity law by itself, which also brings its effectiveness into question. As a constituent, it dismays me to see more focus on laws that even members of NCOSE admitted aren't designed to protect anyone but to outlaw anything they dislike. A member of theirs resigned when his son was arrested for attempting to meet a minor for sex, yet they don't condemn him. Please kill the bills supported by NCOSE.
