**Demand Accountability for Israeli Killing of Journalists in Lebanon** I need you to demand accountability for Israel's targeted killing of journalists in Lebanon and condition all military aid on compliance with international law. On Saturday, Israeli forces fired four precision missiles at a clearly marked press vehicle in southern Lebanon, killing three journalists: Fatima Ftouni, Mohammed Ftouni, and Ali Shuaib. This attack is part of a pattern that has made 2025 the deadliest year for journalists on record, with Israel responsible for two thirds of the 129 journalists killed globally. Israel has now killed more journalists than any other nation in the Committee to Protect Journalists' recorded history. In Gaza alone, over 270 journalists have been killed. Israel routinely claims without evidence that the reporters it targets are linked to armed groups. Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun called Saturday's attack a violation of the most basic rules of international law, noting that journalists are granted international protection during armed conflicts. The same day, nine paramedics were killed in separate attacks on healthcare facilities. This is not collateral damage. These are precision strikes on clearly marked civilian vehicles and protected persons. Congress must immediately suspend military aid to Israel until it stops targeting journalists and medical workers, and you must support investigations into these killings as war crimes. The United States cannot continue funding a military that systematically eliminates the press corps documenting its actions and participating in war crimes on behalf of Israel.
