As we all start thinking about 2026, I know the focus is usually on new goals and big ambitions. But what if this year, your most important intention was simply to lead with love and logic instead of hate and fear? Imagine the immense good you could do by publicly stepping up for the transgender community. They are one of the most vulnerable groups you serve, and your leadership and support could truly change the narrative. Moving into the new year, I’m asking you to take a real stand: Publicly declare your support for trans lives, constantly and consistently. Do all you can to protect access to life-saving healthcare. Call out supreme court rulings, legislation, executive orders, HHS workarounds; any government actions meant to terrorize the transgender community, and then do whatever you can to combat their implementation! These aren't just "political issues"—they are the bare minimums of dignity and safety. Let’s move past "playing it safe" and start leading with real heart. It would be an incredible way to kick off 2026—showing the world that we stand for the safety and well-being of everyone, no exceptions. Let’s make this year about the kind of changes that actually save lives!
