The $1 Trillion Insult To Us, the $5,000 Bribe Does Not Cover His Daily Costs to Americans. Congresspeople across the isle must condemn the clear violation of 18 U.S. Code § 597, prohibiting corruption in our voting process. With ongoing tariffs, increasing costs of fuel and oil as well as the direct costs to Americans of a War with Iran that we did not ask for, Donald Trump’s $5,000 vote buying scheme is an insult to the American people’s intelligence and pocket book. We are already indebted beyond our wildest dreams with $40 Trillion outstanding. The bond market is refusing to buy our bonds, with the cost of borrowing increasing every day because of the administration’s incoherent policies. Adding $1 trillion more is incomprehensible. This latest scheme is illegal, offensive and morally bankrupt. It is time to censure Trump and hold him directly accountable for yet another clear violation of the law. It is time to convict the felon that has bankrupted six companies and is about to do the same to our country.
