Condemn Trump's rhetoric threatening ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

To: Sen. Blackburn, Sen. Hagerty, Rep. Rose

February 5

President Trump's statement about "taking over" the Gaza Strip and implying support for ethnic cleansing is an unacceptable violation of human rights and international law. Ethnic cleansing is a grave crime against humanity that has caused immense suffering throughout history. No leader, especially the U.S. President, should ever condone or threaten such atrocities. We must hold our leaders to the highest moral and ethical standards. Pursuing policies that displace or harm civilian populations based on their ethnicity is fundamentally wrong and goes against American values of equality and human dignity. It also undermines our standing in the world and damages our ability to promote peace and security. I urge you to strongly condemn President Trump's inflammatory and dangerous rhetoric toward Gaza. His remarks risk inflaming tensions and emboldening extremists. We need to pursue diplomatic solutions that respect the rights of all people and work toward a just and lasting peace, not escalate conflicts through threats of ethnic cleansing. Please use your authority to reject hate and uphold human rights.
