Block the Department of Homeland Security's plan to collect voter registration files from all 50 states. DHS is seeking a contractor to harvest publicly available voter data nationwide, framing it as "fraud detection" for immigration investigations. This is a federal agency built to enforce immigration law being weaponized to surveil American voters months before a midterm election.
The justification doesn't hold up. The intelligence community's own 2021 National Intelligence Council report concluded China did not interfere with election infrastructure, vote tabulation, or the transmission of results in 2020. The White House's "irrefutable" evidence was largely a repackaging of that same report. There is no credible basis for ICE to be sitting on a national database of voter records.
This is about power, not security. A president who lost in 2020, tried to overturn the results, and has spent years undermining confidence in elections should not be handed a tool to monitor who votes and where. Stop this contract before it moves forward.
