Vote NO on the Kids Online Safety Act

To: Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters, Rep. Barrett

From: A constituent in Lansing, MI

March 8

I am writing as your constituent to urge you not to co-sponsor and to vote no on the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA). While protecting children online is an important goal, this bill risks undermining free speech across the internet and could expose marginalized youth to increased censorship and surveillance. KOSA may unintentionally limit young people’s ability to communicate, access information, and organize around issues that matter to them. Policies intended to improve online safety should not come at the cost of fundamental rights or harm the communities they aim to protect. Please oppose this legislation and vote NO on KOSA.
