No Payouts To The J6 Insurrectionists

To: Pres. Trump, Sen. Hickenlooper, Rep. Crow, Sen. Bennet

From: A constituent in Aurora, CO

May 9

It’s come to my attention that you and our Department of Justice are contemplating the payment of refunds to the very people who stormed the Capitol on January 6th, 2020, for their court costs and other things like pain and suffering in the amount of $437,000. These are the same people who illegally broke doors, windows, stole items from the private offices of our Representatives, defecated on the floors, desks and chairs, flew the flag of another treasonous uprising in our country, the Confederacy. All of this ended up costing the American taxpayers like myself over an estimated three million dollars in damages to the peoples house. This sends a chilling message: If you violently storm the Capitol in the name of Donald Trump, don’t worry. He’ll pardon you, and you’ll even get your money back. That’s not justice, it’s corruption at its worst and sends a chilling precedent, If you violently storm the Capitol in the name of a President, don’t worry, he’ll pardon you, and you’ll even get your court costs back, even if you plead guilty. This is not justice, this is corruption at its worst. Ashli Babbitt’s family just received a huge payout of thirty million dollars, setting a precedent for the case of getting killed, while storming a government building, during a protest, in order to prevent official proceedings to take place, will end in your surviving family hitting the jackpot. You’ll open Pandora’s box when it comes to acts of treason against our government. How about giving that money to the families of the Capitol Police since you “Back The Blue”!
