I’m writing today as a fed-up West Virginian who has had enough of the hypocrisy, obstructionism, and destructive behavior that continues to emanate from our so-called “representation” in Washington. The latest example? Senator Shelley Moore Capito having a public meltdown over what she calls “Democrat obstruction” of presidential nominees. Spare us the crocodile tears. Capito spent years doing exactly that—blocking President Obama’s nominations, dragging out confirmation votes under Biden, and playing party politics every step of the way. Now that the tables have turned, she has the audacity to whine about gridlock? Give me a break. This is nothing but a fascist double standard. When Republicans are in power, they expect unchecked authority. When they’re not, they burn the place down and cry victim. And Capito—like the rest of you who toe the party line—expects West Virginians to keep rolling over and pretending this is normal? Not a chance. We are done watching you sabotage democracy while waving the flag. We are done watching you cling to power while ignoring the will and well-being of the people. And we are absolutely done with you treating your seat like it’s permanent. 2026 is Capito’s retirement year. Mark it down. We’ll make sure voters remember every tantrum, every obstruction, and every time you chose party over country.
