Demand Immediate Action to Address Human Rights Violations in Gaza

To: Rep. Gomez, Sen. Butler, Sen. Padilla

From: A constituent in Los Angeles, CA

April 27

The recent report from the UN human rights office, OHCHR, revealing the discovery of mass graves in Gaza, is deeply alarming. The victims, found with their hands tied, were recovered at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis and Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The ongoing destruction in Gaza has resulted in over 34,000 Palestinian deaths, including thousands of children and women. In the West Bank, grave human rights violations and settler attacks facilitated by the Israeli Security Forces have been reported. This situation necessitates immediate action. We urge you to advocate for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages and detainees, and to hold Israel accountable for potential war crimes. Furthermore, we request you to consider divestment from Israel until it complies with international human rights standards. The urgency of this matter cannot be overstated.
