An Open Letter

To: Rep. McClain

From: A constituent in Independence, MI

January 21

Dear Representative McClain, I am writing to you as a constituent, and I am done pretending that what is happening in this country is normal, debatable, or tolerable. Your continued support of this administration makes you complicit in what can only be described as an authoritarian power grab, a corruption racket, and a criminal cover-up involving the sexual exploitation of children. Let’s be absolutely clear about the stakes. The Epstein files remain suppressed. The evidence remains hidden. The victims remain without justice. And the public is being stonewalled while powerful people in government, finance, and elite institutions are quietly protected. There is no legitimate reason to withhold records tied to a global child sex trafficking operation. None. When a government blocks transparency around crimes against children, it forfeits all moral legitimacy. At that point, obstruction is not a bureaucratic failure — it is criminal protection. Any elected official who enables that obstruction is not neutral. They are complicit. This administration’s constant chaos — ICE violence against U.S. citizens, reckless threats to invade Greenland and attack or abandon our allies, and openly corrupt pay-for-pardon schemes — reads exactly like what it is: a deliberate distraction strategy to keep the public overwhelmed while elite criminals are shielded from accountability. ICE agents violently detaining U.S. citizens is not “border enforcement.” It is domestic state terror. Threatening a NATO ally is not “tough leadership.” It is geopolitical insanity. Selling pardons to the wealthy while pretending to be “tough on drugs” is not law and order. It is a mafia-style protection racket. And blocking the release of evidence tied to child trafficking is not politics. It is evil. You do not get to claim the mantle of “family values,” “law and order,” or “patriotism” while enabling: • The violent abuse of federal power • The normalization of corruption • The destabilization of international alliances • The obstruction of justice for trafficked children • The steady dismantling of constitutional norms There is no neutral position here. There is no “both sides.” There is no excuse. Either you stand for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the protection of children — or you stand with a regime that is actively degrading democracy and shielding powerful abusers. I do not accept this administration as legitimate. I do not accept the suppression of the Epstein files. I do not accept your continued support of any of it. If you have even a shred of integrity left as a public servant, you will: • Demand the immediate, full, unredacted release of all Epstein-related files • Publicly condemn ICE abuses and call for criminal accountability • Reject and investigate all pay-for-pardon corruption • Denounce threats against U.S. allies • Support formal proceedings to remove this President from office History will not be kind to people who stayed silent while children were trafficked, laws were shredded, and democracy was hollowed out from the inside. You are on the clock. Decide whether you want to be remembered as someone who defended the Constitution — or someone who helped bury it.
