ICE: A Militia, National Security Threat, Useful Idiots, or All of the Above? Today’s (9/3/26) New York Times article should have every one in America nervous. ICE should not have access to the weapons they currently possess, nor should they be spending tax payer dollars on electrified gloves. Anyone referenced in these excerpts must be identified, bonuses withdrawn and returned to the tax payers, and the senior ICE officials responsible for this anarchy, prosecuted. This is disgraceful. The American People must have these failures on the congressional record and superiors identified and also on the record. 1. “Last fall, several students were removed from the academy in Georgia in the middle of training because officials determined that they were all linked to a criminal gang.” 2. “systemic breakdowns” had allowed applicants to receive job offers before they had passed basic fingerprint, identity or credit checks in a preliminary vetting process. Political appointees had unjustly skirted background investigations and received national security eligibility. The article is rife with additional examples of failures. This needs to be fixed or ICE reorganized with real checks, balances, ethical code of conduct and penalties created.
