This past week has confirmed what many feared: Pete Hegseth is unfit for his position and poses a serious risk to national security.
We’ve now learned he used taxpayer dollars to install a private makeup studio in his office. He also installed the encrypted messaging app Signal on his government computer to bypass secure communications protocols. Most troubling, he has shared sensitive or classified information several times with his wife, a former Fox News producer, violating the norms and boundaries of any serious national security post.
This isn’t a personnel issue. It’s a pattern of recklessness that makes us look chaotic, unserious, and vulnerable on the world stage. The Pentagon’s own leadership reportedly has little trust or respect for him—and the leaks won’t stop while he remains in power.
Congress must call for his resignation immediately. This is not a partisan issue—it’s a matter of basic national security, ethical governance, and institutional credibility.
