Oppose the Interstate Obscenity Definition Act

To: Sen. Warnock, Sen. Ossoff, Rep. Carter

From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA

May 9

I'm writing to oppose the Interstate Obscenity Definition Act. Not only would this bill make the definition of obscenity more vague, it would allow for any speech that is determined by biased parties to be labeled as 'obscene' and would criminalize legal speech and expression. If this bill is passed into law, it would throw out the Miller test and destroy the First Amendment's protections under the guise of protecting minors from accessing explicit content. Oppose the Interstate Obscenity Definition Act.
