I'm a fifty year old life long democrat. I consider myself fairly middle of the road, and I do think compromise is important in life. However. In the case of Trump and maga, I urge you NOT to compromise. Each time democrats do, they move the "halfway" mark further and further into unhinged extremism. I used to think people were being hyperbolic calling them fascists, but I totally get it now. I'm really disappointed that the democrats as a whole have not taken a stronger stance, and for the first time in my life I'm starting to consider myself an Independent or Undecided. I'm not saying that as a threat, just a fact of how I'm feeling. Please take a harder stance against Trump, and work more with community organizations, other liberal states, the Democratic Socialists, etc. We need a broad based coalition against Trump and maga. I hope you will also consider working to implement Ranked Choice Voting - it is hurting democrats how divided our party is, and this would allow people to cast their "protest" vote (either more liberal, or conservative), and then list the moderate democrat as number two - and when their candidate doesn't win, their vote flows over to the moderate candidate, with out rewarding the extremist cult of personality on the other side!
