DO NOT CAVE to Republican pressure! Remember why you’re fighting through the shutdown to begin with; remember every moment this year the Republican officials have said and supported things that you would never would have believed. Things can and will get worse if you lose your leverage. Everything we’ve seen this year gives us reason to believe that if the Congressional Republicans aren’t willing to discuss healthcare now, they won’t later, and no promise of hope or gesture of goodwill is going to change that. The blue wave in the Nov 4 election showed us the American people know exactly who is causing this shutdown and exactly who they want making decisions on their behalf. We are gathering in our communities to protect and provide for each other as much as we can during the shutdown. Please do the same in Congress to protect us from what we know is coming if the Republicans pass their budget unchallenged and unchanged.
