Vote No on $1 Billion in Taxpayer Funding for Trump's Ballroom

To: Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters, Rep. Huizenga

From: A verified voter in Kalamazoo, MI

May 13

Vote against the $1 billion in taxpayer funding for Trump's ballroom. Trump himself promised that "not one penny of taxpayer money would be used for the ballroom" — and now Senate Republicans are moving to spend exactly that. A billion dollars. For a ballroom. That money comes at a direct cost: 40,000 Americans losing housing assistance. Real people, in your district, losing shelter so a billionaire president can have a fancier event space. You can see who gets hurt at https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/7ed0dc180417427da0857243668e55dd. Senator Schumer said this spending "has nothing, nothing to do with security and everything to do with Trump's ego." He's right. How many constituents will you allow to go homeless to pay for this? Did you vote for it? Will you vote against it? I will be checking the record.
