No $250 bill to feed Trump’s ego

To: Sen. King, Rep. Pingree, Sen. Collins

From: A constituent in Brunswick, ME

May 30

Designing a new commemorative $250 bill with advanced anti-counterfeiting security features can cost millions of dollars in engineering and typically takes six to eight years to complete. The U.S. Treasury estimates that billions must be spent updating ATMs, vending machines, and counting devices nationwide to accept and verify the new high-denomination bill. Current federal law very wisely prohibits living individuals from appearing on U.S. We have better ways to spend our tax dollars than to feed the ego of the worst president in our 250-year history.
