I’m writing to share my deep offense to finding out that Medicaid funding has been pulled from Minnesota - and only Minnesota. This looks cruel and retaliatory and with no insight shared into why this was done, why it was targeted, and why it wasn’t done across the board leaves me and other constituents to think that revenge is the reason. I DO NOT want a country operating on revenge as a value. As a Christian, I cannot understand how cutting Medicaid funding is protecting “the least of these” and I am deeply opposed. Even though I am not a resident of Minnesota, we have to care about ALL Americans and this is something I demand you stand up against. LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF is what Jesus told us is the greatest commandment and reversing this blockage is the only Christian way forward. If you hold your Christian values as deeply as I do, I expect to see you come out in opposition of this pulling of Medicaid funding immediately.
