As your constituent, I am writing to ask you to intervene in the proposed "Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance" rule for OMB grants. This rule would place control of science in political hands, which would do terrible damage to not only science in the United States but throughout the world. It would also destroy, perhaps irreparably, the US's reputation as a credible source of science throughout the world. This is an incredibly stupid move intended only to allow the current regime to suppress science that they don't like. Congress must take action to preserve truth in science.
