Your constituents deserve a full investigation into two serious abuses of power happening right now. First, the White House ballroom project: Trump promised zero taxpayer dollars, then watched the price tag balloon from $200 million to $400 million to an estimated $600 million — with taxpayers projected to cover more than half. Congressional allies even tried to bury $1 billion for "White House security" inside an immigration bill before Senate rules struck it down. That is not a rounding error. That is a pattern.
Second, a federal judge has found that Trump's Justice Department likely broke the law to keep names hidden in the Epstein files. That finding cannot be ignored. While Trump brands political opponents "communists" — a word lifted straight from the Roy Cohn and McCarthy playbook — his administration is actively shielding information the public has a right to see.
Open formal investigations into both the ballroom financing and the DOJ's handling of the Epstein files. The rhetoric is a distraction. Follow the money and follow the cover-up.
