I urge you to support the AI Data Center Moratorium Act. Communities across the country are being impacted by the completely unregulated deployment of massive data center projects that are straining our water resources, spiking our energy bills, worsening the climate crisis, and disrupting the fabric of our communities. Without regulation, energy demand for data centers is expected to triple by 2028, and AI in the United States could consume more water than 18.5 million households and enough electricity to power over 28 million American households. We need immediate action to halt all new data centers until comprehensive regulations can be put in place to protect people, communities, and the environment. I urge you to support an immediate halt to this rapidly increasing threat by supporting the AI Data Center Moratorium Act.
