I am writing to say that my husband and I fully support the Generative AI Copyright Disclosure Act, which Congressman Schiff introduced on Tuesday. Content generated by AI is ultimately created from a human source, and human intellectual property must be protected. My husband and I are both creatives in the entertainment industry and we know first hand how important it is to have transparency and guardrails around AI in order to protect creators. The Generative AI Copyright Disclosure Act is commonsense legislation that will protect filmmakers and the entire creative community. We wholeheartedly support it and thank you for supporting it as well!
