Reject proposed cuts to NIH

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick, Rep. Mackenzie

From: A constituent in Easton, PA

May 5

The proposed $9 billion or 27% cut to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) budget jeopardizes critical biomedical research that leads to lifesaving treatments and cures. This cut, along with the plan to consolidate the Treadwell Institute and other centers, would significantly impede scientific progress and innovation in the United States. As a concerned citizen, I urge you to reject these misguided budget cuts that undermine public health and instead increase funding for the NIH to accelerate medical breakthroughs that benefit all Americans.
