What are you doing to protect Michigan's public universities from drastic funding cuts proposed by Trump and Musk? Trump wants the end of DEI practices at universities or he will slash 25% of the federal funding, but Wayne State University's whole mission could be described as DEI. Musk wants to unilaterally reduce indirect costs related to NIH grants that could lose our universities another huge portion of funding. They are both calling for the shuttering of the Department of Education, which would once again decimate the funding our public universities are getting through Pell Grants and Federal Student Loans. Without these funds our universities are going to be in dire straights. So, what are you doing to protect Michigan's Public Universities?
