An Open Letter

URGENT: CRITICAL MATTER - Top level priority. For immediate review. To the Members of the United States Congress, I am writing to you as a citizen who expects you to uphold your oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States—without hesitation, without partisanship, and without fear. Recent public statements by President Donald J. Trump, including rhetoric suggesting imminent large-scale destruction, “regime change,” and catastrophic loss of life, represent a profound and immediate concern for national security and global stability. These are not abstract words. They carry weight, consequence, and the potential to incite irreversible harm. This moment demands clarity: when the Commander-in-Chief communicates in ways that suggest instability, escalation without lawful process, or disregard for human life, Congress has a duty to act. Under Article I of the Constitution, Congress retains the sole authority to declare war (there is no denying this is war). Any movement toward large-scale military action—especially under rhetoric that signals inevitability rather than deliberation—must be immediately reviewed, constrained, and, if necessary, stopped. Furthermore, the 25th Amendment to the United States Constitution exists precisely for moments when a sitting president’s judgment or capacity is in serious question. It is not a theoretical safeguard. It is an actionable responsibility. I am urging you to: Initiate immediate, bipartisan congressional hearings to assess the intent, legality, and implications of the President’s statements and actions Publicly reaffirm Congress’s exclusive authority over declarations of war and demand compliance from the Executive Branch Call upon the Vice President and Cabinet to evaluate, without delay, whether invocation of the 25th Amendment is warranted Take all necessary legislative and constitutional steps to prevent unauthorized or reckless military escalation Silence in this moment is not neutrality. It is complicity. Your oath was not to a party, a president, or a political future. It was to the Constitution and to the people whose lives may be affected by decisions made in haste, anger, or instability. History will remember whether you acted when the warning signs were clear. Act now.
