Remember the Budapest Memorandum? Don't betray Ukraine

To: Sen. Collins, Rep. Golden, Sen. King

November 23

Remember the Budapest memorandum? 1994. It prohibited Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom from threatening or using military force or economic coercion against Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, except in self defense. And Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan gave up their nuclear weapons. So Russia's invasion of Ukraine broke that treaty. How shameful now for Trump and Wottkowitz to put forward a "peace plan" which repeats all the Russian demands and Putin talking points. Did you forget that Russia's unilateral attack on Ukraine is an illegal war of agression which violates the Budapest memorandum? Do you want world with no law or decency where might makes right? Another Russian empire threatening the world? Repudiate Trump's dangerous and craven scheme. Impeach Trump and take back congressional powers. Stand by Ukraine
