Oppose Military Intervention and Regime Change in Cuba

To: Rep. Casar, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Manor, TX

October 26

Oppose any military intervention or regime-change operation in Cuba. We are already stretched thin financing a war with Iran. There is no money, no troops, and no mandate from the American people to add another foreign military adventure to the ledger. Cuba is a sovereign nation. The current policy is not about security. It is about insiders cashing in. Trump allies, Rubio-linked lobbyists, and Florida shipping companies are all positioning themselves to profit from the economic collapse this pressure campaign is engineered to produce. Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse just landed a $40 million federal contract to distribute aid in Cuba despite lacking the capacity to deliver it. That is not foreign policy. That is a shakedown. UN human rights experts have warned that Washington's latest sanctions "knowingly deprive a population of the means to survive." The Cuban people are not the Cuban government. Starving civilians to enrich well-connected insiders is not a strategy worth one more dollar or one American life.
