I am urging you to reject Ed Martin’s nomination as the U.S. Attorney for D.C. His inadequate qualifications and overtly partisan stance—particularly his defense of the January 6th insurrection—undermine the integrity and impartiality of the American justice system. Allowing someone with such a controversial record to hold this position would erode public trust and compromise the fair administration of justice. For the sake of democracy and the rule of law, his appointment must not proceed.
