I am writing to urge you to publicly condemn the way Donald Trump treated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy yesterday. His behavior was not only dismissive and disrespectful but also another example of his continued alienation of our allies. It is increasingly clear that Trump is compromised and influenced by Vladimir Putin, and his actions serve only to weaken America’s standing on the world stage. At what point will we acknowledge that the downfall of our democracy cannot be stopped by coddling a narcissistic, weak, and childish leader? His reckless dismantling of our alliances and democratic institutions poses a direct threat to our national security and global stability. I urge you to take a stand—publicly and forcefully—against his continued appeasement of authoritarian leaders and his blatant disregard for the values our nation was built upon. Now is the time for strong leadership. Will you rise to the occasion?
