I believe the president's consistent absence from crucial daily intelligence briefings is deeply concerning and represents a grave dereliction of duty. As commander-in-chief, it is his fundamental responsibility to remain fully informed on all national security matters in order to safeguard American interests and protect the nation from threats. Skipping over 88% of these critical briefings demonstrates an alarming disregard for the expertise of the intelligence community and the dangerous work they perform daily. This negligence leaves the American people increasingly vulnerable. I urge the president to immediately reinstate a consistent schedule of thoroughly reviewing all intelligence briefings and materials. The security of our nation demands his full attention and engagement on these vital issues.
