Impeach President Donald Trump for Treason
To: Rep. Babin
From: A constituent in Friendswood, TX
April 18
Since the inauguration, the Trump administration has consistently abused its powers. Most recently it has been illegally destroying the lives of legal United States citizens and residents by deporting them to El Salvador, a country with a dubious record of human rights abuses that is currently run by a dictator. Some recent examples include the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, which the Supreme Court of the United States has unanimously condemned as illegal and ordered the Trump Administration to return him to his family in Maryland. Another is the illegal abduction and detainment of Rumeysa Ozturk by ICE agents, despite federal court orders.
What's worse is that it is unclear what the ultimate fate of those who are deported legally or otherwise is, since the prison that they are likely being sent to in El Salvador is censored on Google Maps. It appears as though there may be a cover up of what the Trump Administration is actually doing to the people it has been deporting, and I fear for the worst. We cannot allow the executive branch of the U.S. government to overstep its powers and disrupt the checks and balances system that has kept the U.S. government together for nearly 250 years. Especially not for the purpose of destroying peoples lives in a Nazi-like fashion.
I urge you as a representative of Texas to not allow these injustices and oversteps of power go unchecked. You have the power to initiate the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, the individual who is primarily responsible for the heinous abuses I mentioned above. I implore you to bring impeachment charges against President Donald Trump for Treason, as his administration has ignored the rulings of the Supreme and federal courts, and has sought to circumvent the legislature by abusing executive orders. I fear that they will not stop with what they have already done. I pray that you act before it is too late.
