Protecting vulnerable people is the point of the government; it’s the point of you. Stand up for the people who can’t be in the room to stand up for themselves. Your faith and your God demand it. Proverbs 19:17 demands it. James 2:6-10 demands it. James 2:15-17 demands it. Luke 14:13-14 demands it. Romans 12:13 demands it. Hebrews 13:16 demands it. Proverbs 3:27 demands it. Galatians 6:2 demands it. Luke 3:10-11 demands it. Matthew 10:8 demands it. Proverbs 22:9 demands it. Deuteronomy 15:11 demands it. You say you vote with your conscience and your religion; make sure you’re making the choices that Jesus would.
