I am writing as a constituent and as a taxpayer to make one thing unmistakably clear: I am done. We the people are DONE. This letter is to place the federal government—including the Internal Revenue Service—on notice that I do not consent to my tax dollars being used to fund an agency that kills people and you will not get another dime of my money until ICE is abolished. ICE has a documented record of abuse, medical neglect, unlawful detention, and death. Continuing to extract money from the public to finance this violence is not governance—it is coercion. Let me be absolutely clear: my objection is not theoretical, and it is not polite. I am ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS that my earnings are taken under threat of penalty and then routed to an agency that kidnaps our neighbors, destroys families, and leaves human beings to die in custody. That is not “law and order.” That is state-sanctioned brutality AND WE THE PEOPLE AREN’T PAYING FOR IT ANYMORE. Taxation depends on legitimacy. Legitimacy depends on moral authority. You have lost BOTH. I refuse to quietly comply while my money is used to terrorize communities and end lives. If the federal government expects continued financial participation from its people, then it must immediately stop funding agencies that operate with such cruelty and impunity. Until ICE stops killing people, any claim that this system reflects the will or consent of the governed is a lie. This letter serves as notice of my moral objection and my withdrawal of consent from funding violence. Not only will I no longer be paying taxes, I will no longer be participating in this economy in general. I will not be buying a SINGLE THING unless I cannot physically survive without it, you will no longer be able to count on women my age to keep this economy afloat and I know that you DESPERATELY need us. History will not be kind to those who enforced compliance while people were brutalized and killed with public money. You are forcing people to choose between obedience and conscience. Do not be surprised when conscience wins. ABOLISH ICE. End the violence.
Or expect the people to withdraw their consent—financially and politically. I am watching. The whole world is watching.
